IPITA 2025 Scientific Awards

IPITA Congress Scientific Abstract Awards

The IPITA Congress Scientific Abstract Awards are designed to help offset expenses incurred to attend Section meetings and awarded based on the scientific merit of applicants. Therefore, recipients must attend the meeting in order to receive the award. If an awardee is selected for a scientific award but does not attend the meeting, the monies of the award will be forfeited.

  1. Submit at least one abstract as a presenting author.
  2. Be a member of IPITA. If an applicant is not a member, a membership application must be completed on the IPITA website by the abstract submission deadline.
  3. Be a Trainee, Allied Health Professional or Resident of a TTS Emerging Economy Country (See link here) Trainees must be within two (2) years of completion of their training and/or fellowship or provide proof of residency
  4. If a Trainee – Submit a supporting letter – A supporting letter must be submitted as a part of the travel award application. This letter must be signed by the applicant’s Training Program Director to verify the applicant’s status as a trainee/young investigator. Candidates will not be considered for an award if the required letter is not sent. No exceptions will be made.
  5. Attend in-person Awardees must attend in-person the designated award presentation session scheduled during the Congress to receive the award. The applicant MUST be the presenting author.
  1. Awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants based upon the abstract’s degree of excellence (top score), as determined by the Congress Scientific Program Committee.
  2. Every effort will be made to distribute the awards to applicants from different TTS’ geographic regions
  3. Awards may not exceed a maximum amount of $1,000 USD per awardee. A maximum of 5 awards will be provided per congress
  4.  Final selection of recipients will be approved by IPITA Council

TTS Congress Scientific Abstract Awards

TTS-IPITA Sections Congress Scientific Awards are based on the scientific merit of abstracts received from members who are trainees, allied health professionals and/or residents of emerging economy countries. The awards, not anticipated to exceed $1,000/awardee, are intended to help offset expenses associated with attending the congress and thus disbursement amounts may vary depending on location.

  1. Submit at least one abstract as a presenting author.
  2. Be a member of TTS – If an applicant is not a member, a membership application must be completed on the TTS website, by the abstract submission deadline and subsequently accepted in order for the award application to be reviewed and considered.
  3. Be a Trainee, Allied Health Professional or Resident of a TTS Emerging Economy Country (See link here) Trainees must be within two (2) years of completion of their training and/or fellowship or provide proof of residency

  2. The Section Congress Program Committee will provide the full list of applicants, including name, country of residence, category of award applied for (Trainee, AHP, EE), abstract title and score for TTS’ review

  4. Awards amounts will be considered in view of the location of the Congress and anticipated costs to travel from each region. Individual awards shall not exceed a maximum amount of $1,000 USD per awardee.
