By Air
Pisa International Airport (Galileo Galilei) is well-connected to many European cities and beyond.
- From the airport, take the Pisa Mover, an automated shuttle that connects the airport to Pisa Centrale train station in just a few minutes.
By Train
The main station is Pisa Centrale, within walking distance of many attractions or a short bus ride away.
- From Florence: Frequent regional and high-speed trains take about 1 hour.
- From Rome: High-speed trains reach Pisa in 2.5–3 hours
- From Milan: Trains take approximately 3–4 hours.
By Car
- From the North take the A12 motorway (Genoa–Livorno) and exit at Pisa Centro, from Roma take A1 motorway + SS715 or E80
By Bus
- Long-distance bus companies connect Pisa with cities across Italy and Europe. Most buses stop near Pisa Centrale station.
By Sea
If you’re arriving at the port of Livorno (around 20 km from Pisa), you can take a train or bus directly to Pisa.

PISA Centrale Station to the Congress venue
Option 1: take a regional train heading towards Lucca, Viareggio, or La Spezia. Get off at Pisa San Rossore station (1 stop, 3 minutes)
From Pisa San Rossore station, walk to Polo Didattico San Rossore (5-10 minutes).
Option 2 take bus 5 or 13 towards San Rossore or Ospedale Cisanello. Get off at at “Via Contessa Matilde 87″ stop. Walk 7-8 minutes
Get around within the city

Taxis are available at stands near Pisa Centrale train station, Galileo Galilei airport, near the Leaning Tower and major squares. Official taxis are white and metered. They are not hailed on the street but can be booked by phone or app
